The singer shares his deeply personal cancer journey—and why advocating for your health could save your life.
Montell Jordan joins longtime friend and fellow prostate cancer survivor Dr. Drew for a candid conversation about early detection, treatment and life after cancer. Diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer following a routine physical, Jordan ultimately underwent a radical prostatectomy. When the cancer later reemerged in a lymph node and the prostate bed, he received proton therapy and has since reached an undetectable PSA level. Jordan discusses the disparities affecting Black men, the importance of regular checkups and PSA testing, and why men must advocate for their own health. He also shares a hopeful perspective on intimacy, family and survivorship, along with the inspiration behind his forthcoming documentary and children’s book, Shiloh and the Not-So-Scary Girl—a story about taking brave steps in the face of fear.
